Gas geysers operate in flow rate units. You would select a gas geyser with the appropriate flow rate which would provide the best hot water flow for your requirements. e.g. A high flow shower head and a family of 4 who take concurrent showers would require a larger flow rate to accommodate the hot water demand per minute.

The length of time for a 19kg gas cylinder can vary depending on the frequency of cooking and the type of gas stove / oven you use… As a general estimation, you can expect a 19Kg to last 6 – 9 months or more.

One method to determine how much of gas remains in a cylinder is to pour hot water over the side of the gas cylinder. 

After doing this, you should see condensation  along the side which reveals the level of gas remaining. 

Another method would be to lift up the bottle and shake it a little.
